Erma Fatihah's RUNNING Man team Clutch Purse with Velcro Sticker Tag

Hello guys. Hello Erma Fatihah. huhu~

This will be the 3rd RunningMan (RM) concept clutch purse I have ever produced so far, there is definitely a market for these in Malaysia! Well frankly, to be honest... I should have finalize Ila Sharani's Tote Bag project first before this one, however due to shortage of materials, I need to finish this clutch purse beforehand in order to replenish the vital inks for Ila's tote project (stay tuned for this project as it will be the biggest ever project done by Beskot aka me huhu~)

So, the first Running Man concept clutch purse would be *this one*, a customized clutch purse with RM team on the back and Taylor Swift on the front. It was Syazwani from *Si Arnab Gemok* little cousin's request.

The second would be *this one*, an A4 clutch purse with Velcro sticker name tag concept on the back, creatively requested by Aefa Aerisya from *Memory Lane*. She is an avid fan of Korean Entertainment Industry specially RM! The Velcro sticker name tag spells kipas-susah-nak-mati itself and she even have her own RM t-shirt with the same name tag concept! Awesome!

Thus this is the third, RM concept A4 Clutch purse requested by Erma for herself. *This* was previous project for her SIL's birthday prezzie; "London Greetings". Oh ya, we're adopting Aefa's RM Clutch Purse concept, check these out...

The Front - animated RM team karaoke-ing
This is just too cute to digest

The Back - RM logo on the Velcro sticker

Pull a lil bit with full force lalala~

A pull off logo

A close up view on the logo sticker tag

Cotton webbing & Half metal ring

This time around, I used a Teal-colored normal zipper with pink-blue inner fabric

One-sided pocket to store phones etc.

Now, I will let you eye on a close up view of the animated RM characters. I did render them based on the provided photo "lighting shadow". A nice experience on experimenting the shadow technique!

Err... someone help me with these character's name? huhu
Ok, Aefa helped me with their names just now...
So this will be Haha & Jongkook

and these are Kwangsoo & Sukjin

... and Jaesuk, Jihyo & Gary

Aefa Aerisya's Customized Running Man A4 Clutch Purse

Hello peeps. Hello Aefa Aerisya.

It has a been a while since I sketch anything. Well, I am more in the mood to sew rather than sketch these few weeks back. I might as well need to replace my tagline from "A Hand-Sketch Enthusiast" to "A Sewing Enthusiast". ohoho. Frankly I am between these both, torn between'em. However I would ultimately regard myself as the predominant title. *wink wink*...

Alright, BACK TO THE ENTRY, today I finalized a product for a customer from East Malaysia, Aefa from Memory Lane. She is an avid fan aka kipas-susah-nak-mati of Korean Entertainment Industry and of course, she requested me to sketch RM (Running Man team) on the product. Oh ya, she asked for an A4 Clutch Purse with a brilliantly creative idea of donning the RM concept of pulling the back name Velcro sticker tag.

Well, if any of you watch Korean show occasionally or full-time, you will definitely digest what I have mentioned just now wuhuu (I doubt Malaysian would not know this... and to be honest, I may be the only Malaysian who does not watch Korean on TV a lot... err... I am not authorized to dominate the remote control at home, sedih... sigh~). Scroll down to know more about the product...

The Running Man team on the go!
(I recognized only 2 members here... Kim Jong Kook & HaHa wuhuuu well... not bad for me huh?~)

The front - all 8 members of RM

The back - this is the brilliant idea of Aefa's that I mentioned before!
"VELCRO STICKER NAME TAG"

See... the Velcro sticker! I am loving this concept.

Tadaa... a pull-out name tag of AEFA AERISYA's
(Aefa, the sticker is quite "strong" huhuhu you might have to apply a full force to pull it off~ just a friendly reminder ni)

A familiar cotton webbing & half metal ring

I am using red normal zipper & matching red stripes inner fabric

This is something new I incorporate (wow!) in sewing clutch purses
A wide matching pocket to store phones etc.

I am about to Poslaju this baby in a few hours time! Watch out for your mail Aefa!!! wuhuu... Hoping so much you'll love this baby dearly~~~

My Hipster Faux Leather Clutch Purse!

Hello Again!
I am in the mood to sew things wuhuu!

Apart from Clutch Purses that I made for Salina and Shabana,I made myself a gigantic Clutch Purse made out of faux leather purchased from Kamdar. So I named it "Hipster, the Faux Leather Clutch Purse" as it spells chic-ness & hipster-ness as soon as you eye this baby. This is literally to replace my "Block, the Clutch" that aged and fray-ed due to everyday wear & tear. I thought of re-doing the whole precedent clutch but I ended up in destroying the shape! Thus, I hunt for fabric and discover the brown faux leather so I decided to make a huge Clutch Purse to hoard things along where ever I go tiheee~

"Hipster, the Faux Leather Clutch Purse" - the front view, folded into 2
It is of 16" x 16" (non-folded)
And of 16" x 9" (folded)

"Hipster, the Faux Leather Clutch Purse" - the not-so-side-view, folded into 2
I used a thick Khaki Cotton Webbing to fasten the clutch with 2 half metal rings

"Hipster, the Faux Leather Clutch Purse" - the front view, non-folded

So this is the "Separating Zipper" from "Block, the Clutch"

This is Me sporting "Hipster, the Clutch Purse" today.
I am also sporting a Camera-Necklace, a dear gift from my dear friend Syazwani from Si Arnab Gemok

Clutch Purses for Salina & Shabana this Weekend!

Hola Guys. Hola Salina and Shabana Sabrina Azhar
(I just love pronouncing her entire registered name huhu it do sounds perfect for each other).

Today I got a chance to meet up and catch up with another 2 of my best buddies; Salina and Shabana! And we had lunch at Berjaya Times Square's Secret Recipe. Thank you so much Ina for treating us lunch! Kenyang walau makan laju-laju huhu. We were in a hurry as Bana was in her 1-hour lunch break (she's a manager in training in H&M Malaysia). Afterwards, Salina and I followed Bana to H&M (well... almost run to be exact! Time was ahead of us and Bana needs to "punch" her card). We arrived (short of breath bahaha) at Kids Section and wander around for few stuff and peeking at Bana while she's on duty wuhuu. The meeting was extremely short but we had fun chit-chatting and laughing all the way.

Same as previous, I made these 2 hotties each, a "Mini Zoo, the Clutch Purse" (if any of you is my humble blog avid reader, you'll notice this is this range but in a clutch purse version weee...). Both are of similar design and measurement but different stitching methods for the inner fabric (after all, no one really gaze at the inside, aite? do you? huhuu). I let them chose either one for themselves. One is of obvious hem (on the inside of the clutch) and another one of hidden hem. Either way, they are identical twins! So this is it...

"Mini Zoo, the Clutch Purse" - front view, folded into 2
It is of 13" x 16" (non-folded)
It is of 13" x 9" (folded)
The upper part is Mini Zoo linen
The lower part (orange) is plain linen

"Mini Zoo, the Clutch Purse" - not-so-side-view, folded into 2

"Mini Zoo, the Clutch Purse" - front view, unfold

"Mini Zoo, the Clutch Purse" - not-so-side-view, unfold

The inner fabric is Daiso's Polyester.
It is with gray normal zipper.

As usual, mini Cotton Webbing accompanied by half metal ring to cling on keychains
Perfect to tote these Clutch Purses under their tiaks. hehe~

Shabana & Salina with Me in the middle at Berjaya Times Square
(ya I know...finally right? A photo of me lalala~)

Salina & Me at H&M

Shabana while on duty (this was Salina's job for snapping curi-curi photo of her haha
*raise my two hands*no... saya tak bersalah*

Purchased these Iron-on Patches at RM 12.90/3pieces

Hope they tote these babies with them every single day! Oh we had so much fun in H&M just now! Am going to consult Bana for fabric inventory and register in the future!!!

My 1st Ever Tutorial: How to Sew a Simple Clutch Purse

Hola!

I would like to share with all my beloved peeps on how to sew a SIMPLE CLUTCH PURSE.  It involves a very basic sewing techniques and procedure on planet earth thus suits a beginner or someone who never sew before!

First, you will need 2 pcs of fabric (choices of yours whether the same or different or whatsoever). Mine are red velvet & this painted drab (which I painted using affordable fabric paint bought at Popular Bookstore's stationery section *note:cheapskate*).
Make it 30 cm x 21 cm (without seam allowances; so add some 2 cm each aite).
You also need bag string and 3 pcs of half metal rings.

Then, cut 3 pcs of bag strings (35-40 cm/6 cm/6 cm).
Insert one piece of 6 cm string into 1 half metal ring & fold'em.
Insert another piece of 6 cm string into 2 half metal rings & fold'em.

Iron this "Iron-on glued fabric paper" to the wrong side of outer fabric as shown. (Don't have any idea what is the real name of this material. All I know, I name it "Kertas Gam" bahaha). Make sure not to iron off the sticky part or you'll end up with sticking the material to your iron instead of the fabric lalala.
Place both fabric with the right sides facing each other as above.

Pin all along the dotted lines leaving a 6 cm gap (for turning the piece inside out later, the wider the better for newbies; please do not sew all around, or you'll cry later).
Place the string combination (with only 1 metal ring) in between the two fabrics at that point and pin it! (so you'll have to sew this string along later... kasi langgar je k)

Ok! Time to sew along those dotted lines (remember the gap). I usually sew back and forth at beginnings and endings to strengthen'em. Trim all unwanted allowances.
Also trim all 4 edges as shown for a cleaner look at the end.

Now, turn the piece inside out through the gap.

Here, with the inner fabric facing you, place the string combination (with 2 metal rings) & the longer string at the centre with the tiny string combi on top of the longer one (please be careful not to place the other way around!).
Sew the square out! I mean... sew all along the square~
Fold the left end to the right side leaving a 10 cm space as shown (err... why need to re-pin? We've sewed all along already aite? haishhh clumsy me bahaha)
Sew both the folded edges creating a pocket in the middle.

How to fasten the string
#1 This is how the back side will look like
#2 Turn to the front side
#3 Place the longer string to the back
#4 Pull & insert the end into (both) metal rings and fasten'em
#5 Now insert the string end in between the metal rings
#6 Fasten'em!

Voila! Siap pun!

Literally, mine was not that neat. haha. I'm blaming the machine. lalala~ Please leave a comment (or two) regarding my 1st ever tutorial. hiks~

Toodles~

This is a Statement. Ila Sharani, is Indeed, My Regular Customer. woot woot~

Hi peeps. And hi Ila.

So far, in records, Ila has successfully owned 3 products of OBIB which are the 1st "Technology Ruins Romance", the A4 Clutch Purse, a Maternity Cozy Pillow (refer Maternity Cozy Pillow#5) and as of today (well, I finalized the progress, haven't poslaju it yet wehuu).... tadaa.... a 2nd Clutch Purse she requested quite a while ago (lalala apologize for any inconveniences caused ye cik Ila). Ok, stop the rambling, this one is quite unique because it is slightly bigger than a normal A4 sized clutch purse that I produce in the plant (ok exaggerating sangat... mentang-mentang dahulukala menetap dalam kilang kan bahaha), it is of 350mm X 260mm. Take a look:

in case any of you peeps ask... it is the upper one, I use the other one to figure out the aesthetic of colors. see below:

a rainbow of sharpies

kan dah kata... a cheapskate I am. I don't utilize those modern, exquisite tools to sketch or to hold on fabric while I do the sketch... bought those metal peg clips at DIY Aeon Big Maluri for RM 2.30 (6pcs though the packaging clearly printed out to be 8pcs...ya whatevur)

Yeayyy fell in lav with the back sketch!

well, due to low quality of my phone camera... I scanned the end sketch as alternative to bad camera image... this is part of the back (tak muat scan the whole picture sbb scanner A4 sized lol)

So, this is it... the finalized product #3 for Ila Sharani -->

The front - a brown haired dude holding his Lomo

The back - a bunch of Polaroid photos clipped on wooden string

The red zipper as always

The sweet romantic inner fabric (this is this fabric #3) with 2 side pockets to complete the whole scene

The metal half ring with hook for keychaining purposes- as always

Hope Ila will lav this one also. Big sis to her previous clutch purse, wehuuu~

Till then!
